Spots and stains
REMEDY eucalyptus oils are very useful when removing stains, perspiration marks and grease from clothing.

Machine wash – when washing just add 20ml of oil to each machine wash.
Soaking – add 20mls of oil to 4 litres of warm water, soak overnight and then hand wash or machine wash as usual.

Stains can be removed from fabric by placing an absorbent cloth under the stained area – moisten another cloth with eucalyptus oil and gently yet firmly brush towards the centre of the mark. Always test for colour fastness.

To remove stains and grease marks from carpet, simply blot carpet with eucalyptus oil on an absorbent cloth. Wipe clean with a fresh absorbent cloth. Eucalyptus oil does not stain or smear. Again, always test for colour fastness in an inconspicuous place.

Leather cleaner
A little eucalyptus oil on a dampened cloth is a wonderful cleaner for leather – and smells so lovely in your living room!

Mould and mildew
REMEDY eucalyptus oils are essential household products that can be used to combat mould and mildew. Bluegum and Lemongum in particular make great disinfectants and have wonderful cleaning properties. Dampen a cloth or a brush with pure oil and clean tiles or painted surfaces. Always test a small, inconspicuous area of painted surfaces first to check for colour fastness.

Sticky residue/chewing gum
Moisten a cotton ball with 100% eucalyptus oil and apply to affected area, then wipe with clean cloth.

Drains and bins
Pour a little eucalyptus oil onto a cotton ball or cotton pad and place in bottom of bin (before putting the liner in) to deodorise. The bin has never smelt so good!

Garden
Mix your own safe, natural and non-residual garden insect spray using the following recipe: 5ml eucalyptus oil, 2ml biodegradable detergent and 500ml of water into a spray bottle. Spray around seedlings and at the base of plants.

Pest Control
For an instant kill just spray pure eucalyptus oil directly onto cockroaches, slugs, snails and slaters. To keep silverfish away, wipe oil on the inside of drawers.

Insect repellent
Eucalyptus oil is an excellent mosquito repellent – in particular, Lemon gum. As it burns like kerosene, try the oil alone or mixed with kerosene in flares and lanterns.

Oil burners
For a beautiful, natural eucalyptus fragrance throughout the house add 5 drops of pure oil to water in oil burner.

Air freshener
Eucalyptus oil is a wonderful and effective natural air freshener and deodorant. By using the oil in any cleaning application, or in the uses listed here, you will experience the benefits of its fragrance to freshen the room.

You can also wipe the outside of light shades with eucalyptus oil so that when the lights are on, the shade will heat and the natural fragrance will float around the room.

Foot/shoe odours
Soak feet in warm water with 5ml of eucalyptus oil. Moisten a cotton ball with oil and rub inside shoes.

Bodycare
Add 5 drops of eucalyptus oil to the bath to give a wonderful feeling of well-being and for a lovely natural fragrance.
For relief of cold and flu symptoms, add a few drops of oil to a stable bowl of steaming water and inhale vapour, covering your head with a towel. For children, reduce quantity of oil and be especially cautious with the hot water.

Eucalyptus oil can be used in a vaporiser, and also as a massage oil with a suitable carrier (almond or olive oil, or a suitable cream base).
